Anthea is through with TV

Anthea Turner has given up TV presenting to concentrate on charity work.

The 43-year old former GMTV host told the Daily Mail that she'd rather stay at home with her husband and his three kids than be working in TV again.

"I have absolutely no television plans at the moment and that's the way it's been for some time," she said. "Reports that there were several projects in the pipeline were false - I have nothing going on right now."

Her most recent project was a charity event in the grounds of her £3.5 million home in Dunsfold, Surrey, which raised £250,000 for children's hospice charity CHASE.

"I have spent the last few months organising a charity event which was a huge success," she added. "I hope to spend more time doing things like that. I think one of the worst things that could happen would be that, if in ten years time, I looked back on the best moments of my life and they were all about television."
