Sky One has bought the rights to a new US reality show where sixteen contestants compete to win a part in a television movie.
According to Broadcast, the channel will air the 10-part series, called Next Action Star, later in the year.
The programme follows sixteen contestants as they are put through their paces to see if they can become the next Bruce Willis or Angelina Jolie.
One man and one woman will ultimately win spots in the movie, to be produced by Matrix creator Joel Silver.
"Next Action Star will deliver a combination of the most successful elements of the reality TV format, capitalising on the drama of action filmmaking and the drive and ambition of the contestants," said Sky One controller Sara Ramsden.
"In the hands of one of the world’s most successful action movie exponents contestants are not going to be let off lightly in their bid for fame."
