A British version of America's biggest music TV show, Total Request Live, is to begin on MTV later this month.
The programme - which airs on MTV US each weekday - has a huge influence in the music industry, capable of propelling singles to the top of the Billboard charts.
The UK version, starting on Tuesday, August 19, will be fronted by MTV regular Dave Berry. The hour-long show will go out live each weekday at 4.30pm, not only in the UK, but also to a potential 100 million viewers across Europe.
TRL UK will broadcast from the MTV studios in London and, as well as featuring a daily chart countdown and promising "high calibre" guests.
Michiel Bakker, managing director of MTV Networks UK & Ireland, said: "TRL is quite simply the biggest show that we have ever launched at MTV UK."
