Andrew Marr to explore 'Britain From Above'
Published Saturday, Jul 26 2008, 07:12 BST | By Dave West

The main BBC One series, Britain From Above, will "take viewers on a journey up and down the British Isles and back in time tens of thousands of years to reveal the habits, rhythms and little secrets that are only uncovered by looking down from above".
On BBC Two, three accompanying films will look at transformations in Britain's landscape since World War Two.
An attached programme on BBC Four will widen the perspective, looking at the whole planet and exploring "the power of the extraordinary space satellite technology flying above the nation's head".
There will also be an extensive supporting website on bbc.co.uk with specially commissioned documentary shorts and behind-the-scenes films, which the BBC said will "remain live for the following decade".
"Britain From Above is a great example of bold and ambitious multi-platform programming from the BBC," said BBC Vision director Jana Bennett.
"This is literally going to be a narrative from the air, opening up entirely fresh and new horizons, giving this subject a whole new perspective."
