Gavin & Stacey creators James Corden and Ruth Jones have heard nothing about the planned US version of the show.

Corden admitted that he is still waiting to hear from NBC's co-chairman Ben Silverman after his network bought the rights to the programme.

"It would be lovely to know a bit more about it," Corden told the Daily Record. "If someone knows Ben Silverman, maybe they can call us and just say, 'You know this show that we bought the format to? This is what we are doing to it.' We'd love to know because then we could tell you and think about money."

Meanwhile, Jones laughed off claims that the US deal had made her a millionaire.

"We've read several press reports that we've signed a £2 million deal for this American version. I can categorically tell you, if you saw my car, you'd know that's not true," she said. "It's a lovely car. I'm very fond of it, but it's not very new."
