McLean offered "exciting" new TV work

McLean announced that she was leaving her GMTV role after eleven years last month. As well as developing her work on ITV1's Loose Women, she also has a number of other ventures lined up.
"There's nothing that I can confirm, but I got quite a few exciting phone calls once I said I was leaving," McLean told the Daily Record. "I'd like to do anything that involves working with other people.
"I'm nosey in a cheerful way, like a smiling nosey neighbour. GMTV is relentlessly cheerful and I'm a relentlessly cheerful person and there's nothing wrong with that."
Andrea added that she will not miss being blamed for bad weather once she leaves GMTV at the end of the year.
"The one thing I would say to someone taking over the mantel is to brace yourself for being stopped in the street and getting blamed for ruining weddings, barbecues, and big days out because of the bad weather," she explained. "You never get credit when you get it right, but you always get blamed for the rain."
