Channel 4 is planning a new reality series where contestants will have to stay awake for a week to stay in the game.
Endurance will feature forty members of the public competing in a variety of challenges whilst going without sleep over the course of seven days. The one left standing at the end of the week wins a big cash prize.
The Endemol-made show is based on a Brazilian series of the same name which was a ratings hit earlier this year.
“Viewers are literally going to see people dropping like flies," a source told The Sun. “There are going to be a lot of very fit people and complete insomniacs trying to stay the distance on this show. It’s unlike any other programme that will be on TV — it’s like Big Brother meets It’s A Knockout meets Touch The Truck.???
