Monkey is to make a TV comeback by fronting a new family entertainment show for BBC One.
The puppet, who gained cult status as the face of the ill-fated ITV Digital, will interview celebrities and talk to the public in the show, which has the working title Watch with Monkey.
According to Broadcast, the programme will be developed as a one-off special for transmission in the new year which, if successful, could be turned into a full series.
Monkey's move to the corporation comes one week after former partner Johnny Vegas was tied down to the BBC on an exclusive comedy contract.
