MTV News host Tim Kash has been confirmed as the new face of Top Of The Pops.
The 22-year-old will front the "all new" show when it begins later this month from a new set at Television Centre.
"I'm very excited at the prospect of presenting All New Top of the Pops," said Kash today. "Like most of us, I grew up watching the show, but more importantly it's an institution, having broken so many bands over the years.
"It's a fantastic opportunity to be involved in re-launching the programme and breathing new life into one of the one of the greatest music shows in television history."
Kash will continue his work on MTV alongside his new role at the BBC; additionally he will front a new weekly half-hour "behind-the-scenes at TOTP" show for MTV.
"Tim's confident and charismatic presenting style made him an obvious choice to present All New Top of the Pops," said Andi Peters, mastermind of the TOTP rebrand.
"He's very talented, and does an outstanding job on MTV so Tim really will be a great new face for the show as it launches live with its all new look."
All New Top Of The Pops begins Friday, November 28 on BBC One.
