Five has revealed more details about its plans for a new reality show which it hopes will bring high ratings and plenty of media coverage.
Called Back to Reality, the three-week series will have a cast comprised of former contestants on shows like Big Brother, Survivor and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!
Details of the format - including "basic" information like the existence of evictions - is being kept quiet, as are the identitities of the ten or twelve participants.
An exact broadcast date has not yet been decided by Five as they want to avoid a clash with the third series of I'm A Celebrity.
Viewers will be able to follow the action from the compound 24 hours a day by pressing the red button and going interactive.
"It's the reality show of reality shows, the biggest we've ever done," said Five CEO Jane Lighting at the Broadcasting Press Guild lunch on Tuesday. "There will be people on the programme that viewers recognise from other reality shows. It's got Five stamped all over it - there's a sense of irony and fun about it.
"The show will be broadcast over three weeks on a daily basis. It will be high profile and there will be more than one episode a day. I think with this we have a very good audience driver and we can potentially deliver."
Around £4.7 million is being spent on the show, Five's biggest ever single investment in an original programme.
