'Footballers' Wives' gets first gay character

Footballers' Wives is to feature a gay character for the first time, The Sun reports today.
20-year-old former Grange Hill actor Marcel McCalla will play the part of Noah Alexander, a kid who is promoted to the first team.
Noah is hiding a secret from his teammates, however: he is gay and fances the new team captain, Conrad Gates.
McCalla said: “Noah finds it hard to carry this big secret. It makes him less relaxed around his team mates.???
The character eventually accepts his sexuality after indulging in a "steamy fling" with another player.
