Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan have aired their final terrestrial TV show.

The husband and wife duo, who found fame on ITV's This Morning, ended their stint with Channel 4 this afternoon.

The final show included a recap of the couple's most high-profile interviews, including with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Tony and Cherie Blair, John Leslie, Rebecca Loos and George Michael. It also featured best wishes from celebrities and fellow journalists.

Last month, the pair announced that they would be working on new multi-channel TV service Watch, which launches in the autumn.

Madeley, 52, and Finnigan, 60, moved to Channel 4 in 2001. Features such as their book, wine and movie clubs have proved successful and will be continued in their new venture.

Speaking about their decision to keep making TV as a couple, Finnigan told UKTV: "When we announced our decision to leave our current television series after seven years, we were very touched by the number of people who told us how much they wanted to see us continuing making programmes together."
