Live and Kicking disappointment

By
The revamped Live and Kicking failed to impress the viewers on Saturday, according to unofficial ratings figures.

1.3 million tuned in to BBC1 to watch the four-strong team try to drag the show out of its year-long slump, with a 24% audience share. Meanwhile, rival SM:TV was seen by 2.25 million on average, commanding a 39% share.

Things weren't any better for the Beeb on Sunday night. Only 5.5 million tuned in for The People's Awards (22%), losing out to Coronation Street with 14 million (56%) and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? with 14.9 million (56%) on ITV.
