Alan Carr 'lands C4 chatshow deal'
Published Sunday, Aug 24 2008, 09:42 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly

The comedian has been tipped to be a hit with viewers following his success on The Sunday Night Project with Justin Lee Collins.
Carr will face competition from the BBC's established chatshow host Jonathan Ross, as well as Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, who is launching his own programme on ITV1 early next year.
A source told the News of the World: "Jonathan and Piers are from a different generation - Alan is the TV face of the future. He'll ask celebrities questions the other two will be afraid to. All the signs are he'll be brilliant."
The news follows reports that Carr had been offered a £2 million ITV contract last month.
