Saddam capture clears schedules
Published Sunday, Dec 14 2003, 12:24 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

ITV1 dropped My Favourite Hymns from the morning lineup to simulcast with the ITV News Channel but, following a press conference confirming the news, was ready to return to normal programming in time for regional news bulletins at 12.30pm.
BBC One kept The Politics Show on air but utilised the programme to present analysis of the news, including an impromptu appearance by the corporation's "scud stud" Rageh Omaar. The ever-popular Sunday showing of Allo Allo was ditched in favour of a News 24 simulcast at 1pm, but barring any further developments the rest of today's lineup looks as if it will be left intact.
As would be expected, the various news channels switched to rolling coverage after the news broke.
