The French restaurateur claimed that he is uncomfortable with the confrontational approach taken by fellow TV chef Gordon Ramsay, who has previously attacked Delia Smith for cooking with pre-packaged food.
Speaking to DS about rowing TV chefs, Blanc said: "I don't want to go there, I truly don't want to go there. Sure, I detest part of the approach that some chefs have taken, but I will never be personal. Never, never, never. What's the point? What's the point? What for? You gain nothing."
Blanc also revealed that he would enter his own reality TV show if he was starting out in the restaurant business today, but warned that it only offered "an introduction to the world of restaurants".
He said: "I certainly would go for it! I would be a fool not to. You've got everything - you've got exposure, you can show your skills and you get mentoring.
"Let me be clear here, it's eight weeks, an introduction to the world of restaurants. Two months in television and you're a great chef, you're Raymond Blanc, a celebrity, a millionaire, you have a great lifestyle? No way."
The second series of Blanc's The Restaurant, which begins next Wednesday on BBC Two, will see nine couples competing to enter into an eatery business with the 59-year-old chef.
