Ulrika Jonsson is reportedly in talks to replace Fiona Phillips on GMTV.

According to The Mirror, the show's bosses have asked her to step into Phillips's shoes when she leaves at Christmas.

"Ulrika is an experienced presenter and we are now in serious discussions," said a source.

Kate Garraway, who is the bookmakers' favourite for the job, will allegedly not have her contract extended if Jonsson joins.

Other names linked to the show include Myleene Klass, Jenni Falconer, Holly Willoughby and BBC presenters Kate Silverton and Christine Bleakley.

Phillips announced that she is leaving the ITV morning programme earlier this month after 12 years as the show's anchor.
