BBC signs distribution agreement with PA

Raw BBC News material will be available to other broadcasters on the day of transmission through a new deal with the Press Association.
As a trial service, natural sound material from Breakfast, and BBC One's news bulletins at 1pm, 6pm and 10pm, will be distributed and licensed by the Press Association.
The new service is in essence an extension to an existing arrangement between BBC Worldwide and the Press Association, whereby BBC footage was available for distribution one day after transmission.
Adrian van Klaveren, Head of Newsgathering at BBC News said:
"We are happy to trial this service as we have for some time been asked by other broadcasters for better access to our material.
"This trial with the PA will allow us to cater to that need in a way that benefits all involved and helps us make the most of the pictures we shoot around the world."
