Sky One is "close" to reaching a deal with the contestants from There's Something About Miriam, a controversial reality show where the star was a woman who turned out to be a man.

In the programme, filmed over the summer in Ibiza, five young bachelors fought for the affections of Miriam, unaware of his true gender.

After learning the truth at the end of the series, the group sought legal assistance, claiming that they had been unfairly tricked. The threat of action was enough for Sky to postpone transmission, originally planned for November.

Now the broadcaster is said to be on the verge of inking a deal which would see the men receive financial compensation at the same time as allowing the six episodes to air on the channel.

Acoording to Broadcast, the show could begin within weeks.
