'The Vicar Of Dibley' goes to Kazakhstan
A broadcaster in Kazakhstan has picked up the rights to show hit BBC comedy series The Vicar Of Dibley in the country.

Khabar Agency has purchased the programme and will show it to audiences in the near future, with Dibley executive producer Jon Plowman calling the people of Kazakhstan "the ideal audience for the vicar".

BBC Worldwide's Monisha Shah remarked that the corporation is "delighted" that the Emmy award-winning show will reach new viewers.

She said: "I am sure that like thousands of others around the world, they will also enjoy the charm and delights of English parish life, so beautifully crafted by Richard Curtis and Dawn French."
