Edmonds 'has not boycotted TV licence'
Published Thursday, Sep 18 2008, 16:21 BST | By Simon Reynolds

Edmonds earlier accused the BBC of "badgering, hectoring and threatening people" for payment, adding: "I actually cancelled my licence fee a few months ago."
However, the Press Association reports that Edmonds owns a current licence, with a TV Licensing spokesman saying: "[We have] checked [our] records and can confirm we have a valid current licence on record for his address."
The presenter's spokesman Mark Borkowski said: "They have completely not issued Noel Edmonds with a TV licence. He has not got one.
"He will happily explain his position to anyone. He would be very encouraged to sit down with any member of the public or a senior member of the BBC and make them understand how threatening this is."
