CBBC to make 'Crouching Tiger' drama
Published Friday, Sep 19 2008, 18:39 BST | By Sarah Rollo

Bo And The Spirit World will draw its inspiration from ancient Chinese myths and legends, The Stage reports.
CBBC controller Anne Gilchrist said the show will be like "nothing ever seen on children’s television".
She said: "Inspired by Yimou Zhang’s House of Flying Daggers and Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, we wanted to bring our CBBC audience the visual spectacle and exciting adventure of an ambitious drama set in Ancient China."
The series will follow a young British Chinese girl who, accompanied by her brother Timothy, gets transported to a magical spirit world in a quest to save the universe from their archenemy Li and his shadow ninjas.
The BBC said the series will "use the latest digital technology to create an original and exciting" show.
Filming for the series, which is being made in-house, will begin in April 2009.
