'Camp Rock' brings in 1.5m for Disney

The film, which stars teen pop trio the Jonas Brothers, premiered at 6pm on Friday with 552,000 (3.8%), quadrupling the slot average. An additional 228,000 (1.3%) watched on timeshift service Disney Channel +1. A further six screenings over the course of the weekend took the total audience to around 1.5 million.
Timeshift included, the premiere showing of Camp Rock was the most-watched multichannel programme on Friday, ahead of BBC Three's 10pm EastEnders repeat, which had 558,000 (3.3%).
Coronation Street was the day's overall top performer, with 7.62m (37.7%) at 7.30pm and 7.28m (33.2%) an hour later. EastEnders put in 6.88m (32.5%) at 8pm and Emmerdale managed 5.36m (29.4%) at 7pm.
ITV1's Tonight special on back ache set 3.58m (16.9%) straight at 8pm, and BBC One's DIY SOS took 3.09m (14.1%) at 8.30pm.
ITV1 kept the lead in the 9pm with Wire In The Blood, which was down on last week's 5.58m (26.2%) opener to 4.78m (22.8%). BBC One had 2.84m (13.4%) for comedy Harry & Paul - down from last week's 3.23m (15.1%) opener - then 2.54m (12.3%) for clip show The Best Of Would I Lie To You?
On BBC Two, Mastermind interested 2.21m (10.4%) at 8pm, then the audience built to 2.32m (10.5%) for Gardeners' World at 8.30pm. Historical drama The Tudors held steady with 1.97m (9.4%) at 9pm.

Five put in a decent performance, starting with 1.26m (5.9%) for Axe Men in the 8pm hour. NCIS delivered 1.71m (8.2%) at 9pm, putting the channel ahead of C4's Betty, and 1.46m (8.2%) stuck around for Law & Order: SVU at 10pm.
