Published Monday, Sep 22 2008, 15:08 BST | By Simon Reynolds

Rebranded from last year's MobileAct Unsigned, the show will whittle down the 7,000 entrants to award one group or singer-songwriter a recording contract with Universal Records.
Radio DJ Jo Whiley, Blur bass player Alex James and record company head Simon Gavin are back on the judging panel, with a new addition soon to be announced.
Envy & Other Sins were crowned winners of last year's show and secured a record deal with Polydor. They released their debut album We Leave At Dawn in March.
Orange unsignedAct will debut on 4Music on October 30, then air on T4 on
November 2. The series, consisting of 12 60-minute shows, will run through to January 2009.
