BBC ditches 'Kilroy' backlog
Published Monday, Jan 19 2004, 14:18 GMT | By Neil Wilkes
The BBC will not air 25 unseen episodes of Kilroy recorded before the presenter stepped down, Broadcast reports today.
The five weeks worth of shows are being scrapped after Friday's deal (full story) to keep the programme on air but without Kilroy-Silk at the helm.
A series of guest presenters will take over when the show returns at the start of next month. A permanent replacement will be appointed soon after; those in the running include Michael Portillo, Jeremy Vine, Nicky Campbell and Andrew Neil.
