John Suchet to retire

ITN newsreader John Suchet will retire in March, it was revealed today.
ITV News Editor David Mannion said:
"Most people now think of John as a studio-based presenter, but for many years he was one of ITN's finest and boldest foreign correspondents.
"Throughout his remarkable career he remained a man of integrity and dignity - a true gentleman journalist.
"He has been pivotal to the success of ITN and ITV News over more than three decades and he will be sorely missed by his friends and colleagues here at ITN.
"He will also be missed by millions of viewers who consistently rate him amongst their favourite newscasters. It will not be the same without him."
The award-winning journalist has worked at ITN for thirty years.
