'Who Do You Think You Are?' ends on a low

The celebrity genealogy show had previously averaged over 6 million viewers every week of its eight-episode run. The final episode, featuring Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, was moved from the show's regular Wednesday 9pm slot to Monday at 9pm to make way for Silent Witness. Overall, the third series has averaged a massive 6.3m (11.1%) for BBC One.
The channel was still ahead in the 9pm hour, with ITV1's Place of Execution taking 4.51m (19.3%) for second place. BBC Two's Amazon with Bruce Parry put in 2.55m (11%) and on Channel 4, a repeat of The Secret Millionaire managed 2.28m (9.8%). Five averaged 992,000 (4.7%) for the movie Dude, Where's My Car? between 9pm and 10.45pm.
Coronation Street had audiences of 9.19m (41.9%) at 7.30pm and 9.18m (38.8%) at 8.30pm. EastEnders brought in 8.81m (37.8%) for BBC One at 8pm and ITV1's Emmerdale was third place with 6.94m (34.6%).
An investigation into stealth taxes on ITV1's Tonight interested 3.74m (16.1%) at 8pm while BBC Two's University Challenge attracted 2.91m (12.5%). Channel 4's Dispatches: Cameron's Money Man had 0.64m (2.7%) for the hour and on Five, the final episode of Fifth Gear rallied to 1.06m (4.5%).
At 8.30pm, BBC Two cookery show What To Eat Now drew 2.45m (10.4%), slightly ahead of the 2.42m (10.2%) who tuned in for BBC One's Panorama.
Overall during primetime, ITV1 led with a 25.2% share of viewing, compared to BBC One's 22.5%. BBC Two was third with 9%, followed by Channel 4 on 5.7% and Five on 4%.

CBBC's first showing of episode two of The Sarah Jane Adventures brought in 398,000 (3.7%) at 5.15pm. The preceding first episode, shown on BBC One at 4.35pm, pulled in 656,000 (6.3%).
