The BBC is developing a new reality series where children will audition for parts in a West End stage production, The Sun reports today.
Called The Biggest Musical in the World, the programme will go out on BBC One in a primetime slot on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
Those successful in the auditions will get a part in the production, which has yet to be determined but could be The Wizard of Oz or Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
“It will be like Bugsy Malone, with kids playing all the lead roles," a source told the newspaper. “Viewers will vote for all the cast and then be able to buy tickets to the performance.???
