Comedian Alexander Armstrong will be the new permanent replacement for Angus Deayton on BBC quiz show Have I Got News For You, according to The Sun today.
The 33-year-old, who beat off competition from the likes of Jack Dee, William Hague and Anne Robinson to land the role, received a good reaction when he hosted the show twice last year.
Armstrong will sign a contract within a few weeks and will begin fronting the show when a new series begins later this year.
