Fans unhappy with 'Little Britain USA' edit

Viewers expressed annoyance that scenes were cut and censored from the opening episode of David Walliams and Matt Lucas's sketch show.
One fan told DS: "Most UK Little Britain USA viewers have watched the US HBO version online before it was broadcast this week.
"They were mortified when it turned out that censor changes have been made to the BBC version. Including the axing of a highly anticipated scene.
"The highly awaited gym buddies Tom and Mark weren't shown. What was odd was that the subtitling still included the scene, so it was clear something was missing."
Responding to complaints, a BBC spokesperson said: "As a consequence of minor edits for its UK transmission, subtitling for the first transmission of Ep 1 of Little Britain USA was, in parts, incorrect.
"This was a process error which was spotted on transmission and corrected for the following night's repeat."
On the subject of censored scenes, they added: "The BBC makes decisions on editing acquired content on a case by case basis, taking many elements into account, such as which channel a programme is on, the time that programme transmits, audience awareness of a programme and audience expectation of a programme."
The BBC also confirmed that the gym buddies sketch from US episode one would be appear in the UK's episode two tonight.
