The cast of television comedy Dad's Army have reunited to celebrate the programme's 40th anniversary.

Surviving stars from the show as well as members of the crew attended a reunion in London.

Clive Dunn, who played Corporal Jones, commented that he initially took a role in the programme at his wife's insistence.

"My wife saw the first episode and said this is going to be a huge success and I always do what she says," he said.

BBC Two dedicated an evening of programming to the show in August, including Don't Panic! The Dad's Army Story, which was narrated by comedienne Victoria Wood.
