Armstrong in running for 'Countdown'?

The comic actor is competing with Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling to helm the Channel 4 quiz show, claims The Mirror.
"Both Jeff and Alexander are in the hunt. We will make a decision soon," said an insider.
Other names linked to the job include Bradley Walsh, Rory Bremner and Christopher Biggins.
The new host will take over from Des O'Connor in January.
