'Wallace & Gromit' to return for Christmas
New Wallace and Gromit adventure A Matter Of Loaf And Death will air this Christmas on BBC One.

The show marks the Ardman Animation duo's first outing since their big screen debut Curse Of The Were-Rabbit in 2005.

Creator Nick Park said: "I love making films for the cinema but the production of Chicken Run and Curse Of The Were-Rabbit were virtually back-to-back and each film took five years to complete.

"A Matter Of Loaf And Death will be so much quicker to make. I'm delighted to be back into production and back with BBC One with Wallace and Gromit."

The 30-minute feature will follow Wallace (Peter Sallis) and his pet dog Gromit as they run a bakery called Top Bun.

Gromit becomes concerned that they may be targeted by a local villain, nicknamed the Cereal Killer, but Wallace is too busy romancing Piella Bakewell (Sally Lindsay) to notice.

"I am delighted Wallace and Gromit will be part of our Christmas schedule on BBC One," said BBC One controller Jay Hunt. "A Matter Of Loaf And Death is just the sort of unmissable family entertainment that epitomises the channel at its very best."
