Burton interested in comedy role

The Commander actress, known for portraying earnest characters, revealed to DS that she expects to find it difficult making the transition to more humourous parts.
She said: "Yeah, I suppose I would [like to do comedy], but I don't think you can make that crossover very easily when you're seen as being a serious actor. I suppose it's a shame really, but hey, there's always the future."
Burton joked that she is considering ways to sharpen her comic skills, saying: "Maybe I should go and do some stand-up!"
The Commander: Abduction begins November 10 at 9pm on ITV1.
