The chatshow was pulled from its Friday night slot following Ross's suspension for making obscene phone calls to Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs on Russell Brand's Radio 2 show.
Comic Michael McIntyre will host the first episode of Apollo, which will be recorded at the Hammersmith venue next week. The series will run until Ross's suspension ends in January.
Jack Dee, Jimmy Carr, Joan Rivers and Dara O'Briain have previously hosted BBC One's Live At The Apollo.
