Coogan produces sci-fi drama for BBC

Steve Coogan is producing a new sci-fi drama for the BBC, say reports.

According to The Sun, the comic's project is based on US time-travelling show Quantum Leap and is titled Brave Young Men.

Tom Basden will play the lead character, school caretaker Owen Malloy, who attempts to prevent world disasters with the assistance of a civil servant from the future.

"The show owes a big debt to Doctor Who - though it's drastically different - and Torchwood," said a source.
