'Prisoner' boss unfazed by Nolan remake

Michele Buck, the executive producer of the upcoming TV remake of The Prisoner, has admitted that she is not worried about Christopher Nolan's film version of the cult TV show.

Speaking to Digital Spy from the set of the AMC/ITV co-production, Buck said that their version will be completed before the Dark Knight director's movie begins production.

"That talk is still active, I think," she said, referring to Nolan's film project at Universal. "I don't even know if they have a script."

She continued: "We knew of it, and what it was rumoured to be like was totally nothing like ours at all. We'll be finished, edited, transmitted, out before they even shoot - if they shoot. As with everything, these things come up, go down. We will be ahead of him for sure."

The new six-part Prisoner series, starring Jim Caviezel as Number Six and Sir Ian McKellen as Number Two, airs next year on ITV.
