Speaking to Digital Spy from the set of the AMC/ITV co-production, Buck said that their version will be completed before the Dark Knight director's movie begins production.
"That talk is still active, I think," she said, referring to Nolan's film project at Universal. "I don't even know if they have a script."
She continued: "We knew of it, and what it was rumoured to be like was totally nothing like ours at all. We'll be finished, edited, transmitted, out before they even shoot - if they shoot. As with everything, these things come up, go down. We will be ahead of him for sure."
The new six-part Prisoner series, starring Jim Caviezel as Number Six and Sir Ian McKellen as Number Two, airs next year on ITV.
