The BBC is to air a football match played in 1904, the Daily Star reports today.
Tapes of the 2-2 draw between Wolves and Preston North End on November 19, 1904, were discovered in a rubbish skip by a local historian in Blackburn.
The film was among 800 reels of 'historic scenes' being dumped by workmen clearing out offices.
The BBC has condensed 26 hours of footage into a three-part series, including the game, for transmission later this year.
