Channel 4's troubled teens reality series Brat Camp held onto - and even built upon - its audience last night, early ratings data shows.
Last week the programme debuted to an average of 3.56m (14.97%), a figure which rose to 3.72m (16.09%) for episode two yesterday.
The show managed to beat off competition from Five's biggest series, US import CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which had a 3.50m (15.11%) average in the same slot. Both were head and shoulders above BBC Two's 90-minute Newsnight special taglined One Year On: Iraq, which could only muster 1m (4.46%).
At 8pm, Holby City was BBC One's clear winner with 8.22m (35.53%), almost double the 4.80m (20.74%) who saw Celebrity Fit Club on ITV1. An hour later things evened up between the two networks, with BBC One averaging 5.34m (23.13%) for crime drama Hustle while ITV1's Pride of Britian Awards managed 5.27m (23.61%).
Overall in peaktime, BBC One was on top with an average share of 31.52% against ITV1's 24.58%. Channel 4 was third on 10.86%, closely pursued by Five with 7.72%. BBC Two rounded off at 5.70%.
