
Connie Fisher's first TV drama role was seen by around 4.4 million viewers on Boxing Day, early figures suggest.
Caught In A Trap, a one-off piece about an Elvis obsessive who starts stealing to fund memorabilia, averaged 4.43m (20.1%) for ITV1 between 9pm and 10.30pm.
It was solidly beaten by BBC One's premiere of swashbuckling movie sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, seen by 6.79m (31%) between 8.30pm and 10.50pm.
EastEnders drew 9.64m (42.4%) before Pirates, placing the BBC soap a clear 2 million viewers ahead of its ITV1 rival Coronation Street.
Corrie managed 7.54m (33.5%) at 7.30pm, then 7.54m (33.1%) for a second episode an hour later. Emmerdale, brought forward to the earlier time of 6.30pm, had just 5.03m (24.5%).
Harry Hill's TV Burp Review of the Year put in 6.13m (28.1%) at 7pm and a repeat of You've Been Framed! had 4.01m (17.6%) at 8pm.
ITV1's early evening lineup suffered from going up against BBC One's screening of the first Narnia movie. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe kept up an impressive 6.36m (30.4%) for the channel between 5.50pm and 8pm.

BBC One had an average share of 32.4% (last week: 20.2%) in primetime to ITV1's 23.4% (24.6%).
BBC Two had a strong night after dedicating its primetime lineup to programmes from the archive. A repeat of the Morecambe & Wise 1975 Christmas Special was the most popular, averaging 3.31m (15.2%) from 9.30pm. A subsequent screening of The Generation Game 1973 At Christmas drew 2.03m (12.8%), then at 11.40pm, The Two Ronnies: Old-Fashioned Christmas Mystery interested 0.96m (9.9%).
Earlier, a documentary about BBC producer Bill Cotton, The Man Who Made Eric & Ernie, was seen by 2.1m (9.4%). A repeat of Dad's Army picked up 2.59m (11.4%).
BBC Two's primetime share rose from 8.8% last week to 10.4%.
Channel 4 was down from 7.7% to just 5.2% in primetime. A Time Team Special: The Mystery of the Roman Treasure had 1.3m (5.9%) in the 7pm hour, then a screening of Crocodile Dundee pulled in 1.37m (6.1%) until 8pm.
The channel's most-watched programme of the day was the final Deal Or No Deal Christmas Star, with 2.24m (12.7%) at 4.50pm. Hollyoaks had 1.32m (6.9%) at the earlier time of 5.50pm, while E4's first-look delivered just 262k (1.3%) at 7pm.
Five's Ice Road Truckers brought in 696k (3.1%) in the 7pm hour, then World's Strongest Man: 30 Years Of Pain appealed to 653k (2.9%). NCIS had 696k (3.1%) at 9pm, then the three-hour countdown Greatest Ever '80s Movies averaged 656k (4.5%). The channel's primetime share fell from 4.4% to 2.9%.
