BBC One picks up new 'Damages'

The second season picks up with lawyer Patty Hewes's (Glenn Close) protégé Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne) working with the FBI in an effort to bring down her ruthless boss.
William Hurt, Marcia Gay Harden and Timothy Olyphant have been added to the cast of the 13-part second season.
Damages won three Emmy Awards in its first season and a Golden Globe for Glenn Close's portrayal of Hewes.
Sue Deeks, BBC Television's head of series, programme acquisition, said: "BBC One is the home of high quality, exciting drama and the first season of Damages with its compelling mix of complex legal thriller and riveting murder mystery really set the bar high - I can't wait to see what they do with season two!"
Damages season two premieres in the US on January 7.
