The broadcaster has been given 24-hour access to the Babyshambles frontman for the one-hour special.
Coverage will follow Doherty at a London fashion show, where he is scheduled to perform an acoustic set and walk the catwalk.
MTV also claims that the show will feature Doherty discussing "drugs, friends and ex-girlfriends".
"This enthralling and at times heart-warming documentary marks the first time in over two years that the Babyshambles frontman has participated in a television project," said MTV.
Pete Doherty In 24 Hours airs on MTV One on January 25.
