ITV plans 'blank screen' gameshow

ITV has given the go-ahead to a new gameshow featuring just a blank screen and a voiceover.
In the show, imaginatively titled Blank Screen, viewers can win up to £500 by watching the empty screen until a conundrum or question appears and then texting in the correct answer.
"The vague seed of Blank Screen came from a few years back when the BBC dropped off the air, and the ratings the next day still beat most of its opponents," creator Howard Davidson told C21. "I thought eventually a programme has got to come out of this."
The four-part, 60-minute, series is being given a late night slot on Fridays.
