'Simpsons' cast resolve pay dispute
Production has recommenced on the new series of The Simpsons after a resolve in the pay dispute between TV network FOX and the actors.

Those involved in the dispute - Dan Castellaneta (Homer), Hank Azaria (Moe, Apu, Comic Book Guy), Harry Shearer (Mr. Burns and others), Yeardley Smith (Lisa), Julie Kavner (Marge) and Nancy Cartwright (Bart) - had wanted a raise from $125,000 an episode to $360,000; the equivalent of $8m (£4.5m) each per season.

Terms of the new deal were not disclosed. FOX said in a statement: "We couldn't be happier to have reached a multi-year deal with the enormously talented cast of The Simpsons."
