US premium cable channel Showtime will be supporting Gay Pride Month with a range of special programming.

The channel, which announced that it has greenlighted a fifth season of Queer as Folk on Tuesday, said it is "proud" to offer viewers "a number of programs featuring gay themes and issues." Digital Spy presents a roundup of what viewers can expect.

Peter's Friends, a British drama starring Stephen Fry and Kenneth Branagh, will air on June 24.

Jack, a Showtime Original Picture for All Ages, will air on June 20. Anton Yelchin stars as Jack, a 15-year-old boy who must come to terms with his parents divorcing, his own puberty and the revelation that his father is gay. The film also stars Stockard Channing and Ron Silver.

The Opposite Sex: Jamie's Story, premiering June 7, is a 90-minute documentary following the story of 47-year old Jamie, a male-to-female gender reassignment candidate formerly known as Jim.

Back-to-back episodes of More Tales of the City and Further Tales of the City will air every Tuesday during June.

Programming to support the KNOW HIV/AIDS awareness initiative will also air, including Scenarios USA, an anthology of short films created by high school students who teamed up with industry professionals to produce stories that inspire kids to act responsibly and make healthy choices about sexual matters, along with The Slowdown, featuring a female rapper who fears she has contracted AIDS.
