The Fonejacker star will adopt a number of characters for the Hat Trick Productions show, including an African toilet attendant, a washed-up Iranian singer who drives a minicab, and an eccentric art gallery guide.
Having donned prosthetics, costumes and makeup, Novak will improvise within real-life situations.
According to Broadcast, the British-Iranian actor's show is being developed as a possible Comedy Lab pilot for Channel 4. If commissioned, the series would be unlikely to air before next year.
