Myleene Klass: 'I wasn't chosen on age'

Myleene Klass has rejected claims that she was chosen to be the new host of 10 Years Younger on age rather than merit.

The former Hear'Say singer was responding to comments from previous presenter Nicky Hambleton-Jones, who said that the decision to replace her was like a "slap in the face".

Klass told the BBC: "I don't think this is a question of age. I think it's actually just a case of I was offered the job and it was a perfect opportunity to take it.

"I don't see the argument where someone was dropped because of age, if I'm completely honest."

She added that women should "stick together" because there are enough other people who want to bring them down.

The makeover show, which has been relaunched as 10 Years Younger: The Challenge, returns to Channel 4 tonight.
