Simon Cumbers, a freelance cameraman working for the BBC, has been killed in a drive-by shooting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The BBC's security correspondent, Frank Gardner, was wounded in the attack.
Richard Sambrook, director of news at the BBC, said in a statement: "Our thoughts are with the families of Simon and Frank tonight. We are in touch with them and offering them all the support that we can."
Gardner is being treated at a hospital in the city, the BBC said.
