ITV looking for 'Trisha' replacement

ITV is looking into possible replacements for Trisha Goddard as the host of its flagship morning talkshow, according to this week's Broadcast.

Goddard's contract with the broadcaster is currently up for negotiation, but thusfar she has refused to sign an extension as she considers whether to quit altogether to make her own shows.

A source told the magazine that Dianne Nelmes, Granada director of daytime and lifestyle, is "furious" with Goddard's indecision but has "no problem" with losing her.  "The show is bigger than the presenter," the source added.

Those being mentioned as potential successors include former Crossroads actress Sherrie Hewson, TV psychologist Linda Papadopoulos, TV host Matthew Wright and Loose Women host Kay Adams.
