Leslie Ash: "I will walk again"

TV actress Leslie Ash is said to be "upset" by weekend press reports that she may never walk again.

The Merseybeat star says she is making a "steady recovery" after contracting the MSSA virus while in hospital for injuries sustained during "rough sex" with husband Lee Chapman.

Friends had told the News of the World that Ash had lost almost three stone while in hospital, having been given only a 50-50 chance of walking again.

Her spokesman, Neil Reading, denied that the reports were true, adding that Ash was already up and about.   "There is no truth in it," he said.  "Leslie is upset at this. She'll be in hospital several weeks but is up and walking."
